A Pitch ‘n’ Putt Success!

There was rain, a lot of wet and soggy trainers, and an involuntary hair wash for the ladies…but nothing was able to stop what was another successful fundraising event for CRY Charity!

At the beginning of the year, Success Recruit announced CRY (Cardiac Risk in The Young) as their chosen Charity of the Year as the organisation is very dear to team member Danielle, whose friend Charlotte Adams sadly passed away, aged 23.

Research shows that every week in the UK, 12 apparently fit and healthy young people, aged 35 and under, die from a previously undiagnosed heart condition*. That’s a shocking and very sad statistic.

Yesterday, our sister company Success Recruit hosted their annual Pitch ’n’ Putt day and invited clients, friends and local businesses. Money from this year’s fundraising events will contribute towards the Charlotte Adams Memorial Fund, which has a goal to create 100 screenings in one day! Screening is unavailable on the NHS and would therefore cost an individual £500 to get tested.

In true Success style, the team were keen to take action and make a change – no matter how big or small! They were joined by, Fluid Business Coaching, Fusion Project Management, Rubix Ltd, MLM, Handelsbanken, Fisher Jones Greenwood, Hill & Abbott, New Homes Law, Consort Insurance, Peregrine and Cunningtons LLP.

We attended the Pitch ’n’ Putt on the same day last year, which just so happened to be one of the hottest days of the year! Whilst yesterday was considerably different, the outpour of rain didn’t take away from the enjoyment and laughter! The teams were having so much fun that they decided to brave the weather and continue playing!

Once everyone had completed the course, fish and chips was on site to warm us all up! And what would an event be without donuts too, right?

It was heartwarming to not only see people give their time and money, but also show incredible support and kindness throughout the day. It doesn’t go unnoticed, so thank you.

Also, we would like to say a huge well done to the team at Success Recruit for organising a great event. We can’t wait to see what the next fundraising event will be…although we did hear something about jumping out of a plane….??
